About The Artist

Christine is a diverse and multiskilled artist and teacher with experience in various disciplines
including; ceramics, hand building, sculpting, and casting home wares, as well as decorating
techniques. Glass work including lead-light, slump and fuse work. She has produced silk
paintings and textiles (print and fabric work); Christine also enjoys painting with various mediums
and creating illustrations and murals.
Christine's creative style includes contemporary and traditional ceramics and painting.
She is particularly inspired when working with clay/fabric/glass materials and combining
all 3. And, enjoys time out collaborating and painting murals with other artists.
Christine has worked professionally in the arts industry and as an arts educator for 15 years
in Australia, Jordan and China. During this time her professional practice included research
and development for Ceramic Solutions (Australia) and now for Chrysanthos in China,
developing and manufacturing paint products for artists, ceramists and potters. Christine
is currently developing educational programs, workshops, seminars, as well as new designs
and techniques, promotional material, 'how to do' manuals and CD/DVD programs for students,
teachers, ceramists, potters and artists.
Christine’s works are featured regularly in arts/crafts and lifestyle magazines, including 'Ceramics
Today' (Schiffer Books - 2011), 'Australian Ceramics & Pottery', 'House & Garden', 'Home Beautiful',
'Insight', 'Popular Ceramics' and 'Fire it Up'. Her home wares, sculptures, paintings and other works
have been sold to various galleries, shops and to private collectors in Australia, Germany, UK, China,
and Jordan.
